Following its opening in Hong Kong in May 2012, Galerie Perrotin is pleased to announce its exhibition.

French artist JR has also conceptualized a Hong Kong project which will uniquely see 16 large-scale black and white portraits of Hong Kong city dwellers – looking up to the city’s skyscrapers – pasted on the rooftop of one of city’s elevated footbridges located above Connaught Road in Central Hong Kong. This outdoor exhibition, co-presented by Galerie Perrotin and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, was conceptualised by JR as part of his global art project “INSIDE OUT”.Over 175 people were photographed for the project and the final 16 selected portraits, each measuring 6 x 6 meters, are on display. The outdoor exhibition is visible from public places from IFC mall and the 55th floor of the library located at IFC 2, as well as Galerie Perrotin’s Hong Kong space on the 17th Floor at 50 Connaught Road Central.
