"Les Esquisses de la Caverne", Perrotin Paris, 2026

On the occasion of La Caverne du Pont Neuf (June 6–28, 2026), JR presents his fifth exhibition at Perrotin, a look behind the curtain at the making of the monumental yet ephemeral installation on Paris's oldest bridge: 120 meters long, 20 meters wide, 18 meters high.

The preparatory sketches tell the story of La Caverne, tracing the project from vision to the Seine. Each multimedia work brings together collage, drawing, and assembly in a highly technical process, finished with zinc sheets salvaged from fragments of Parisian rooftops.
